Sarah Eckhardt was the first woman ever elected Travis County Judge, running a county of 1.3 million people, after years as a prosecutor and county commissioner. Since 2020 she's been a state senator, and now she wants to use her diverse political experience to manage Texas's money: honest budgets, open books, and no wasted tax dollars.

As Comptroller, she plans to "protect our schools & audit the voucher scheme." She also intends to "stop no-bid contracts to wealthy donors" and take on corruption, as she did as a county prosecutor.
